CORE IMPACT Pro Penetration Testing Reports:
Host Report

Testing Vectors:
Network Systems, Endpoints

The Host Report provides IMPACT Pro users with precise details regarding how their systems and applications can be compromised via real-world hacking or malware attempts, allowing organizations to understand the severity of their existing IT security vulnerabilities and move quickly to remediate the problems, better align their defenses and minimize related risks. Host Reports specifically deliver in-depth information about all the systems or applications involved in penetration tests, including details of all the vulnerabilities that were successfully exploited, how those weaknesses were compromised, and the level of privileges or information that could be obtained in executing a test on a target system.

Targeted Report Results:

  • Total counts of hosts discovered and exploited: shows you how ubiquitous and dangerous your existing vulnerabilities are.
  • Per host vulnerability averages: gives you a big picture view of how exposed various systems and applications remain.
  • Hosts and compromised hosts listed by OS: allows you to understand which OS platforms represent greater risks, and how.
  • Most exploited hosts: outlines just which groups of your systems and applications are most vulnerable to attack.

Takeaways:

  • All relevant details for every tested host including all available vulnerabilities, ports, services, users and groups.
  • Detailed information needed for host remediation, including any unwanted programs found present, or improper connectivity.

Additional Reporting Features

CORE IMPACT Pro reports offer the following additional features for meeting your unique assessment goals:

In support of the SCAP standard, CORE IMPACT Pro incorporates CVE, CVSS and CPE data into the product's reports and can also export this data in XML format for use in centralized security databases.

Customization
Many CORE IMPACT Pro reports can be tailored to meet the needs of different internal constituencies by providing tailored results for groups including IT management, network administrators, remediation staff, and other IT/security professionals. Additionally, the reports are exportable to other applications for integration with complimentary sets of data.
